WORSHIPFUL MASTER’S MESSAGE

WB WILLIAM L DORMAN JR.

Brethren

Thanksgiving is the time of the year when we look back and take time to give thanks for all our blessings.  While our everyday task and responsibilities may take their toll, it is important that we take a few moments to reflect. All of our prayers are answered however the answer may be "Not Yet" or "no".  Our blessings may be a lot of small ones that, when looked at as a group, are quite awesome after all.  Keep the faith and may God bless each and every one of you in your efforts to do good unto all men.

Gratefully,

WB William L. Dorman Jr.                    Worshipful Master

From the West

I would like to tell you a something that happened to me while on vacation in Avon N.C. and made me proud to be a member of this great fraternity. I was having a problem with my truck, I could not get it to turn over; seemed like a dead battery. Thinking that I was really jammed up as the nearest major department store was over 70 miles away. A man pulled up and introducing himself says: Brother you look like you need some help getting this truck fixed which I readily accepted.  This brother mason had seen the emblem on my truck. He gave me a jump then took me to his friend’s auto store and got me a great price on a battery, he then helped me replace the battery in the truck. This brother went way out of his way to help a brother in distress even though he did not know me. I thanked him for his help etc. and said it was just like they said in the Master Mason obligation of going to the relief of a brother in distress. Think about this how many strangers would go out of their way to help you in this situation? Not many!! This is what I really admire about many of the brethren in this great fraternity they would give you the shirt of their back.

Brethren remember the oath you took when you became a Master Mason, I know I will.
