Brethren, you are cordially invited to attend the following Events and Communications being held at Williamstown Masonic Temple:

Regular communication: Tuesday May 04, 7:30 pm

Regular business meeting: Our guest speaker this evening will be Right Worshipful Brother Charles. A. Castley who will give a talk on the differences between New Jersey and New York Freemasonry.

We will also be celebrating this month’s Masonic birthdays. Refreshments will follow the meeting.

Regular communication: Tuesday May 18, 7:30 pm

Regular business meeting:. Discussion and vote on the proposed increase to the Lodge dues and possible by-law amendment.

Refreshments will follow the meeting.

Official Visit of the District Deputy Grand Master at our 2^nd communication on Tuesday June 15^th 2004 at 7.30pm

Blood drive on Friday June 18^th from 2.30 to 7.30 pm.

Upcoming dates and events in and around the 21^st District

District Lodge of Instruction will be held at Mantua Lodge # 95 on Thursday May 27th at 7.30pm

ALL OFFICERS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND

Gold Tokens will be awarded this year at Penns Grove Lodge #54 on Friday May 7^th at 7.30pm. Dinner will be at 6.30pm. The dinner and meeting afterwards, will be open to everyone. So bring your wife or girl friend and enjoy the evening. It is free

Saturday 15^th May: ARC Walk at Washington Lake Park

Williamstown Lodge is required to supply Ice for the walk

Monday 31^st May: Memorial Day Parade in Williamstown

The Lodge will be taking party in the Memorial Day Parade

We will meet at the Lodge at 8.30am

Tuesday June 1^st 7.30pm Woodstown Lodge #138 will honor all military veterans of the 21^st District at an Open Meeting that evening.

Williamstown Lodge will move its Regular Communication to Woodstown Lodge that evening to be able to support this event.

Brethren,

  BLUE. “This durable and beautiful color was adopted and worn by our ancient brethren of the three symbolic degrees as the peculiar characteristic of an institution which has stood the test of ages, and which is as much distinguished by the durability of its materials or principles, as by the beauty of its superstructure.        

It is an emblem of universal friendship and benevolence; and instructs us that in the mind of a Mason those virtues should be as expansive as the blue arch of heaven itself.           

   Thank you Brethren for accompanying me to Temple Lodge #11 in Wilmington Delaware last month. It was a pleasure to watch the Officers doing their ritual work. It was also a pleasure to listen to, MW Edger Pepplar, the guest speaker that evening.

    Brethren, our work detail for April went well although the turn out was less than I had hoped.  We accomplished some of the work that needed to be done, but there is more to do.

We will have another workday soon.                                                                                              

Brethren, as you know there is going to be a District Gold Token night this year. I would hope to see all of my Officers there for dinner and the meeting.. The dinner and meeting afterwards, will be open to everyone. So bring your wife or girl friend and enjoy the evening. It is free

ANNUAL LODGE DUES

Brethren, the Lodge Trustees are currently reviewing our financial status (see enclosed report) and have recommended that the annual dues be increased from the current amount of $35 Per Annum, set in 1995. (Grand Lodge annual assessment is currently $12Per Annum and is added to the Lodge Dues to give the current total of $47 Per Annum.)

Lodge Fees and Dues are covered under Article III Fees and Dues, Sections 2 and 3 of the Lodge by-laws and therefore any changes can only be made in accordance with Article VI Amendments, Section 1.

To comply with this requirement the Lodge will address this recommendation at its Regular Communication on May 18^th 2004 at 7.30pm
